Who are we?
Giant Space Hamster Games is a friendly local game store in Portland, OR. We are big fans of board games, ttrpgs, card games, miniatures, puzzles, and all the things that can fill a tabletop with fun. We believe that by opening a game store, we’re building more than just a retail shop. We're creating a gathering place. A little pocket of Portland where folks can get together, unplug, bond over shared hobbies, and maybe get just a little too excited over a dice roll.
What is a Giant Space Hamster?
Giant Space Hamsters are large, bear sized hamsters in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. They were created by gnomes and used to power spaceships (Spelljammers) by running on large hamster wheels. They are a favorite of ours because they come in many varieties, embody the creativity and imagination of tabletop gaming, and, well, they’re cute.
